Lyvnite Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Lyvnite ("Lyvnite", "we", "us") operates the Lyvnite mobile app, which helps people discover live music and local events, and helps venues and performers reach them. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, contact us at hello@lyvnite.com.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Lyvnite, we collect:

  • Account information - your email address and password (handled securely by our authentication provider), or, if you sign in with Apple, the identifier Apple provides us.
  • Fan accounts - your home location (if you choose to set one), your genre and event-type preferences, whether you've enabled "near me" discovery, and a push notification token if you enable notifications.
  • Venue accounts - your venue's name, description, address, location, contact details, accessibility information, and any photos you upload.
  • Act/performer accounts - your act's name, type, bio, contact details, social media links, and any photos you upload.
  • Usage information - which events you mark as attending, when you tap "Directions" on a venue, and similar interactions, which we use to build the analytics venues see (see "How Venues See Fan Data" below).

2. Location Data

With your permission, Lyvnite uses your device's live location to show nearby venues and events on the map. This live location is used in the moment and is not stored on our servers. If you set a home location instead (or in addition), we store it so the app can still show relevant venues and events when location permission isn't granted or live location isn't available. You can change or remove your home location, or revoke location permission, at any time in your device settings or in the app.

3. How Venues See Fan Data

Venues can see analytics about the fans engaging with their page - for example, how many fans are within a certain distance, how often fans return, which nights are most popular, and how many people tapped "Directions" this month. These are always aggregated counts and trends; venues never see your name, contact details, or any way to identify you individually.

4. Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we use them to let you know about new events posted directly by venues and acts using Lyvnite. We never send push notifications about aggregated listings from Ticketmaster or Skiddle (see below) - only events posted on Lyvnite itself.

5. Aggregated Event Listings & Affiliate Links

To help the map feel populated while Lyvnite grows, we also show event listings sourced from Ticketmaster and Skiddle. If you tap through to buy a ticket for one of these events, you'll leave the Lyvnite app and complete your purchase on Ticketmaster's or Skiddle's own site, under their own terms and privacy policies - we don't see or store your payment details. We may earn a commission on ticket sales referred this way.

6. Third Parties We Work With

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Lyvnite:

  • Supabase, for our database, authentication, and file storage.
  • Mapbox, for the map itself.
  • Google, for address lookup when a venue sets its location.
  • Apple, for Sign in with Apple and for delivering push notifications to iOS devices.
  • Expo, for delivering push notifications.
  • Ticketmaster and Skiddle, for the aggregated event listings described above.

These providers only receive the information needed to perform their function, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the app - this permanently removes your account, your fan/venue/act profile, and any events or listings tied to it, and cannot be undone.

8. Children

Lyvnite is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

9. Your Rights

If you're in the UK or EU, you have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete it, and to object to how we use it. You can exercise most of these yourself in the app (editing your profile, deleting your account), or by contacting us at hello@lyvnite.com.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including relying on our providers' own security practices (such as Supabase's). No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Lyvnite changes. We'll update the "last updated" date above, and if a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app.
